I'm Alex Procton
a data scientist and consultant
working at the intersection of climate, agriculture, and sustainability.
I studied Biology and Earth Sciences at Dartmouth College and received a master's in Conservation Biology from Columbia University. Since then, I have become an expert on carbon market data, worked as an analyst on agricultural commodity trading desks, and worked with startup founders as a data strategist and consultant.
Currently I am focused on how carbon markets can help create climate resilience and mitigate severe climate change while also incentivizing a sustainable economic transformation. I am available on a consulting basis as a data scientist and subject matter expert in carbon markets, regenerative agriculture and carbon accounting. I also write a newsletter, Green Tech Futures, which covers climate tech and commodity markets.
